How to Keep Your Extensions Flawless

Taking proper care of your Mermaid Hair Extensions ensures their longevity and keeps them looking flawless. Here's a simple guide to help you maintain your beautiful extensions:

Brushing

Before and after each use, gently brush your extensions using a wide-tooth comb. Start by brushing the bottom section, then move to the mid section, and finally work your way up to the top tie. (Be sure to support the hair as you brush to prevent the hair from coming out). This technique helps remove tangles effectively, starting from the bottom and preventing fiber breakage that could occur if you brushed from top to bottom.

Washing

It is safe to occasionally wash your hair pieces when they become visibly dirty. We recommend avoiding frequent washing to preserve the quality of your extensions. Only wash them when necessary to maintain their shine and softness.

Washing Tips

Use a mild shampoo and lukewarm water for washing.

Immerse the hair pieces in water and gently lather the shampoo, avoiding rough rubbing or twisting.

Rinse thoroughly with cool water to remove all shampoo residue.

Immerse the hair pieces in water and conditioner and submerge into the water for a minute

Rinse thoroughly with cool water to remove all the conditioner.

Pat dry with a clean towel, avoiding vigorous rubbing to prevent damage.

Lay flat to dry naturally.

Storage

When not in use, store your Mermaid Hair Extension Ponytail in the storage bag provided. This prevents tangling and helps retain their original texture and appearance. If you wish to take extra care plait the hair prior to putting them in the bag to keep them safe and secure.
